Managing the survival mind

When we hit times of challenge or stress it is quite normal to switch into our survival mind. We’ve all heard of flight or flight or freeze and that is a symptom of it.

Same for when we feel overwhelmed or pulled in four different directions, survival mind is where we often flip into. And it is totally normal to do. So at this time I just want to remind everyone to cut yourself some slack.

Sure we’d all love to live in our higher, visionary mind where contribution and service are the key elements but even the most aware people will slip into the other brains states at times, especially when challenged. A lot of the time we are in our monkey mind – the multi tasking brain that we need to utilise to get stuff done.

This video is just a little reminder that you are human, that you will slip into survival every now and again and it is fine – same as it is fine for those around you to. Let’s be gentle with ourselves and others.
