When my wife suggested going on a retirement retreat I really didn’t have any idea on what I was entering into.  I had a vision of a few days, having a chat in the sun in Spain listening to someone telling us what we should do next.  How wrong was I.

From the moment we were picked up from the airport we were both made to feel so relaxed and were very much allowed to be in the head space of thinking, discussing and exploring ideas of what we both wanted to do in the next chapter of our lives.  Jessica gave us the time and guided us to think out of the box with no idea being immediately swept off the table.  There was a rough timetable set for what we should be achieving on each day but this flexed depending on how our discussions went and time was always available to go deeper or recap when required.

The setting had everything we needed to forget about work and life issues back in the UK and fully concentrate on how all of our years of working hard could be put to exploring and having the  best retirement that we could imagine.  Those seeds have been set and in the 6 months since our time together further thoughts, ideas and investigating of them has happened to make the most of what we gained in Spain.

Personally and as a couple we have a much clearer picture of what we want to be doing in the short, medium and long term and Jessica has shared some tools we use to get there.

I would highly recommend investing the time and money in this retreat which will pay dividends in the future.
